Binh Tran
Binh Tran, a pioneering Vietnamese-American entrepreneur, has developed over 20 technology products and co-founded four notable Silicon Valley startups, including Klout—the social influence platform famously used by President Barack Obama in 2010 and valued at $200 million before its acquisition. In 2015, Binh raised $14 million in capital and made the strategic decision to return to Vietnam, where he and another talented entrepreneur founded 500 Startups Vietnam, the country’s first tech-focused seed-stage VC firm. This fund has been instrumental in supporting Vietnamese startups. Today, as Co-founder and General Partner of Ascend Vietnam Ventures, Binh continues to champion investments in Southeast Asia’s most promising tech companies. With over 50 seed investments since 2012, he remains a key driver of Vietnam’s tech startup ecosystem.
